I am seeking information / instruction on pre installation considerations for this type of installation. i am hoping to run the supply & return lines myself and possibly have a plumber hook up the heaters and the zone valve. All suggestions welcome.

Every application is different so very doughtful.
Your best bet is to let them do it all for warranty reasons.

I think you need to be a bit more specific on what exactly it is that you are installing. "Radiation Heater" ? What is that?
Most of the time the instruction sheets that come with the equipment are pretty good... or at least a good start...

I am installing the old fashioned cast iron hot water radiation heaters in my garage. they are used therefore i don't have any instructions. i'm just wondering if there is anything to consider for the placement / positioning of the supply and return lines, i guess maybe the placement of the heater in relation to line orientation, for example? and anything else that may come to mind for someone experienced in this field.

Pipe them in parrallel,
Make lots of provisions for air vents at high points.
Unless you have a basement under your garage, you will be supplying from above the rads, and that makes it hard to purge them.
Position is not important, as long as you have enough rad to overcome the heatloss.

Hopefully your boiler will be able to handle the additional load.
