I downloaded Firefox and when I try to import my Internet Explorer settings it crashes the session.

Why do you want IE settings for Firefox? What exactly takes place when you push the magic button?

I was trying to transfer my favorites. I ended up exporting them to an html file then importing them into firefox.

I was getting the usual "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. Exactly the reason I switched to Firefox! Oofah!

Good call. I haven't had problems with FF in all the years I have been using it. So you are ok with the favorites, now?
