I know Honda portable generators are the best. They are best because of the small reliable Honda engines. As for the AC alternators (generators), I personally don't think Honda builds them. So, who build those alternators for Honda?

Honda does. They build tons of things, no reason for them to not make their own generator heads too.

After a quick research, it does not look like Honda builds its own alternators/generators. Sawafuji is the alternators/generators supplier for Honda.

You would be correct. I always assumed Honda built their own, since they do build much of their other equipment and I've never seen the same alternators on any other unit. I never entertained the though otherwise.
