I recently purchased a DS422 Dual PhotoElectric Detector.
I have a Vista 20P system.
What I want is for the DS422 to be on all the time, with the beams going around the house (which I have now).
I then want the DS422 to chime or give a voice alert when the beam is broken, and chime or alert for 2 minutes or until someone presses button #4 on the 6 button fob.
This would alert me to someone being on my property but not set off an alarm.
Lastly, if possible I would also like to have the DS422 programmed so that it will power on my 6 floodlights that are mounted outside, same thing, 2 minutes or until someone presses button 4 on the 6 button fob.
Does anyone know how you would program that on the Vista system?
Many Thanks,
Tim

Im hoping you have some programming experience because this can be tough. What you can do is program output 17 or 18 on the panel to trigger when your beam is tripped. You can use this output to sound a piezo buzzer or trigger a relay for your flood lights.
Assign the beams to a zone in field *56 and make the zone type 23 'no zone response'
Goto field *79 and make output number 17 'NO' for normally low
Goto field *80 and program an output function to 'activate by the zone number'. Make the output action '5' for duration 1 and select the output #17. you can program the duration in field *177
Go back to field *80 and program another output function to 'activate by zone type 22' . Make the output action 0 for off and make the output #17
What this will do is trigger output 17 for the duration that you program. If you hit disarm on the remote or code + 1 on the keypad it will disable the output.
This should be close to what you want and maybe give you more ideas. Note these instructions are not step by step but if you use your manual they will put you in the right direction.
