I have a CODE ENCRIPTOR II that it was working on a Vista 20 SE with two (2) four loop Fobs.
I now have a ADEMCO/VISTA 20P installed. Everything is working OK but I can not get the Fobs working.
System consist of:
6128 fixed wired keypad address 23
ADEMCO 6271CV keypad
ADT Voice capable 2-line Alpha keypad(address 16 automatically)
1 Expander
1 Code Encreptor II
2 Fobs
16 Zones.
12V external power supply (feeds 2X keypas and Encriptor II)
My question is if the encriptor is competable with Ademco/Vista 20P. As I said it was working fine with the 20SE.
I have followed the encriptor's installation notes that I got from the internet, but no luck.
When I power up the system the encriptor flashes 6 times that indicates that the CE2 encriptor has detected ADEMCO addressable.
What programming need to be done in the 20P?
I have defaulted the Encriptor II and followed the instrauctions but still it does not work with the Vista 20P.
I Installed the encriptor II again with the Vista 20SE and works fine.
I read somewhere that on power up of the Encriptor it automatically gets assigned to address 3 for the Ademco systems, however the Ademco/Vista 20P stars at address 16 which automatically is taken by a Keypad.
I also have activated addresses 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 to 01 00.
By the way on power up of the Encripto II, when installed with the Vista/Ademco 20SE I get 5 flashes which indicates Admco non addressable, when installed with Vista/Ademco 20P I get 6flashes which indicates Ademco adressable.
Please help.

Heres what Honeywell/Ademco has to say about Code Encryptor and the Vista 15/20p:
"How to handle ADT Safewatch 3000 and Vista-15P / 20P
FAQ 13420466
This doc covers handling the ADT Safewatch 3000 and the Ademco 15p / 20P.
· Do you have Rev M or newer?
· Is Address 17 enabled on control panel?…
Do you have Rev M or newer?
You must have the new software Rev M or N on the chip. The box will have this info also. New Rev software has been shipping for over 8 months. Most units will be fine
Is Address 17 enabled on control panel?…
The CE2Y can only be addressed as keypad 17. The customer must take all other devices off address 17
To enable keypad 17 go to *190 enter a 10 then exit programming"

Thank you very much for the repay.
The revision ot the Control Panel is Honeywell 5.2.
I can not see any revision of the Encryptor II. My Encryptor is a ESCORT Professional group product PSG 4AHS-OISAS which is equivalent to CE2Y-LX, all the output wiring is the same even the colour code wiring is identical. As I mentioned before it works fine with the Vista 20SE control Panel. Yes address 17is programmed 10 and it is free.
Kind regards
PeterA

The fact that this is not directly the actual Code Encryptor unit could be critical, especially given that you are dealing with a non-North American model. Do you have the install instructions for this thing? The setup for these isn't that automatic.
Reading through the notes on the instructions, did you teach this thing a user code? It's one of the mandatory steps.

Hello again and thank you very much for your reply.
To put you in the complete picture. I have a spare Ademco/Vista 20SE this is the one that was replaced by the Ademco/Vista 20P. The reason of the replacement is the installation of an ADT Voice and Alpha display Keypad and a Ademco 6271CV touchCentre Keypad.
I follow the Encryptor II Install notes (Installed on the 20SE) no problem the system arms and disarms with the fobs no problems at all.
Then I installed the same encriptor II on the 20P, I followed the install instructions (same way as with the 20SE) the responses of the encriptor during the installation are as per the install instractions, however unable to arm or disarm the 20P with the fobs.
The encriptor finds the control panel (both 20SE and 20P) correctly 5 flashes for the SE and 6 flashes for the P.
Theoritically once installed in the 20SE and working OK it should be matter of plugging it in the 20P and it should work OK with keypad address 17 anabled (10). It seems to me that the Ademco 20P is not compitable with this type of encriptor.
Nevertheless I will not give up as yet.
Regards
