I tried Code + 9 but the chime will not disable.
I know I have the code because I can arm the system with Code + Stay.
Any ideas?

Are you talking about the entry/exit chiming when the alarm is armed or when the system is off and people are just going in and out the house?

I mean when its NOT armed and any zone is opened, it beeps three times.
According to the manual, [code] + 9 should turn CHIME on and off but it doesn't work.
I know I have the right code because I can arm the system. There is only one code right?

It may be that only the master code can switch the chime. When you hit code 9 does the chime light on the keypad turn on or off?

[user code] + 9 is the standard commmand. Every code (the system can be programmed for up to 45 user codes; 48 including the master codes and the installer code) , including the installer code can turn the chime on and off. The one exception might be codes set as "arm only".
This is a pretty much hard coded function, as far as I know, there's no way to disable the ability to turn the chime on and off.

So it sounds like this shouldn't be possible. I can arm the system with [user code] + STAY and therefore when I do [user code] + 9 the CHIME there is no explanation for why it would not work?
I see "CHIME" on the display all the time. Must be a defective system or a bug? I noticed this after i powered the system off and back on.

MrRonFL says: The one exception might be codes set as "arm only".
This could be it I guess?

I assume that you are trying to turn the chime function on/off with the system _disarmed_? I don't think the command sequence works with the system armed.

I just got the chime off using the installer code + 9.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes it was disarmed, but still didnt work with user code. This user code works to arm the system though. Not sure whats up unless its really an "arm only" code.
Anyways, problem solved.
MrRonFL you are lifesaver, thank you very much for sharing all of your knowledge.

Since you know the installer code, I would use [installer code] + 8 + 02 + [new master code] to set a new master code and see if that works properly.

Its is disable without security code. So, if possible check each and every status. And than after do change code.
