Toilets, Sinks, Showers, Tubs and Disposals - Toilet flushing problems

Hi All,

I've attempted to change my toilet flapper valve with a new one recently but after installing the new flapper valve,the toilet fails to flush.In need of your kind opinion urgently to what might be the cause of this problems.Your valued opinion is much appreciated.

your message is a little vague. is water turned on to the toilet & when you push the handle does the water come out into the bowl. if not check the tank to make sure the handle is still attached to the flapper & you may have to adjust the length on the flapper "cord" to get the proper lift which in turn will let the water flow into the bowl & get the perpetual motion to flush. when our toilet tank was broke for about a week we had to flush the toilet by filling a bucket from the tub & pouring it into the bowl somewhat fast to get it to flush. Thk Crseedee,Well actually the water to the bowl was on and when i pull the handle some water did went thru but i jus could't get the gravity to do its job.That's what bugging me.I jus could't figure out what wen wrong.

How many gallons per a flush is your commode?

Bro,i've got no idea .Let me check it out and get back ya.Btw does tat effect the flushing??
