I have ceramic tile around my tub and shower combination. If I remove the tile to replace it with a better color tile, what can i expect to find underneath? I expect a plywood wall surrounding the bath tub. Am I correct? I watched a show recently that demonstrated how to install wall tile. I have done 3 areas of my house with floor tile. Just not sure what to expect if I start popping tiles off the wall, and dont wantg to give my bride a heart attack:>

If you are just trying to change the color then try a product called tilekote.
