My house has an FBI XL2 system last night in the middle of the night the battery chime went off, I took the battery out and tested it, it was low, 10.75 volts. The battery was replaced no more than two years ago.
I disconnected the power supply to reset the alarm which turn of the chime but just for about 10 minutes or so. Then the chime started to ring again.
Is my power supply bad? or what other kind of problem could it be?
thanks

If the ouput at the battery charger terminals is around 12.5-14 volts unloaded (give or take a bit) then there is likely no problem with the charger.
Batteries typically last 3-5 years, but that's the average. If you have frequent brownouts/blackouts the life can be shorter.
Sometimes you just get a dud battery.

We still have alot of these panels in service and from my experience the are very hard on their batteries. A lot of them dont make it to the 3rd year. To stop the beeping, disconnect the battery and leave the ac on. It may beep one more time but that should be it until you can get it replaced. Before you replace it test the battery leads from the panel to make sure the panel is putting out a charge.
