I had my sewage pump replaced 2 years ago. About a week ago my wife noticed a fowl odor. When insoecting everything found that that sewage pump was not working at all. Checked power outlet by plugging something else into it, everything was fine there. I can't imagine it needs to be replaced already, should at least get 7-10 years on this model. Model info. Zoeller m211 aquamate .4 hp Has a 5 ft pipe ejector length. Does anybody know what else could be wrong with this or does it sound like it needs to be replaced. Does not make any sounds at all and does not react to flush.

I think you need to pull the pump and see if anything is stuck in the volute/impeller. These pumps usually have a thermal overload which would make the pump appear dead untill it cools off enough to restart. If there is nothing in it, the switch could be bad or it may just be time for a new one.Sometimes "stuff" will get hung up on the switch also causing ti not to turn on. You really need to open it up and see whats going on.
