I just moved in a house with an existing alarm that was monitored by APX, when monitoring was discontinued , Igot a beeping sound now when I disarm system it says not armed check system , code 103 says its an ECP/commuication/supervision failure case tamper or low battery, is there something I need to physically disconnect from the control panel, I can't get into the programming mode

I think the 32-EN is a clone of the Lynxr-EN. You might have the Vista 15p clone, in either case, code 103 is the "long range radio" (cellular dialer). Do you have a smaller oblong box with an antenna somewhere near the motherboard box?
Otherwise, I think that this is just a re labled ademco panel and all of the programming access via * + # should still work on this system.

This is a vista 15 panel that is telling you there is a problem with the backup communicator. Probally due to the monitoring being off.To shut this off youll need to get into programming. Read the sticky above that says "read before posting" that will get you the installer code. To get the 103 off follow this installer code 800 *29 0 *99. That should get the panel to stop looking for the backup. Good luck

pardon my ignorance , this is a LYNXR-en with a 5842 wireless dialer , I can't get into the programming to disconnect , * + # sets off a panic alarm and 4112 + 800 doesn't do anything still says 103 ac open but the alarm does Arm , I get a solid green light to set ,just can;t set the time , get into programming and it says check system when I put in the code and off to disarm

The same procedure actually does get you into programming. The mechanics are just different.
First, open the panel face and disconnect the backup battery.
Close everything back with the battery disconnected.
Unplug the the power pack. Wait a minute. Plug te power pack back in.
Within 50 seconds press * + #. It should come up into programming mode with 20 showing on the display. If it doesn't the installer may have locked out local programming access, in which case this thing is a brick.
If it does, first press #20
It will read back the installer code, one digit at a time (ignore the leading zeros). Write this down for future reference.
Next enter the following:
*41*
*42*
*91 0 0
*99 to exit programming
I suspect that the dialer is actually a 7845c (possibly with an APX specific part number, because 5842 doesn't come up on Ademco's parts list)
Power down again. Disconnect the wires for the dialer from the terminals inside the panel. Reconnect the battery and plug it back in. That _should_ remove the cell dialer (which is probably an AMPS model that no longer works, anyway).
