First of I want to thank everyone for helping me reprogram my system when I moved into a new house and didn't want to pay ADT to monitor. I was able to use the installer code to issue a new code and clear out all the phone dialing.
Here is the problem though. After I got it all setup and working, the BAT light was on, which is what I expected because the backup battery was either dead or depleted, however everything was working. I went out to dinner and came back and both screens were blank and didn't respond to any commands. It was almost like all power was out.
I checked the AC plug and that receptacle was fine, tried unplugging and replugging, but nothing.
Is this normal behavior without a battery hooked up? Could I have fried the board? Thanks for any help / troubleshooting tips.

Check the outlet to make sure it is getting power. You can use a lamp to plug into the outlet. If the outlet doesn't work, look for a GFCI, GFI or breaker that has tripped.
If the outlet works, check the field wiring and check for voltage on terminal 1 and 2 on the circuit board.
