Hi hope someone can advise me,
we have just bought a house and for some reason the dining room light is closer to the window side of the room can we move it easily or shall we get some one in to do it.
Our competence level is wiring the cooker in making single to double sockets, that sort of thing
Thanks

Welcome to the forums. This is primarily a North American board but a few posters are familiar with "across the pond" wiring. One question I do know enough to ask is do you have an unfinished attic above the light?

That means the ceiling will probably have to be opened up then patched if it is more then a few inches. Depending on the direction the cable to it is run you may have to run new cable or leave the existing box in place with a blank cover on it.
