Hello, I have an NX-8V2 Alarm system I installed two years ago. It has performed flawlessly but have recently came into a problem.
I had to temporarily remove the indoor siren which tripped a fault on the wireless board ( NX-548E) and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to reset it. My keypad is the NX-148E
Right now thte siren is inoperable and a light is flashing on the wireless board.
Any Ideas on how to reset it?

The siren is supervised. You have to have a 3.3k resistor across the bell terminals on the panel if you dont have a siren connected.Good luck.

Thanks for the response.
I only temporarily removed the siren while painting. When I reattached it, it failed to work and i have the fault.

Try setting the alarm off to make sure the siren works.

Red light flashing indicates BUS activity, it's normal. It has nothing to do with the siren....

what else should I do? As soon as I disconnected the speaker, I got a fault. Cleared the fault but when I hooked the siren back up, nothing. Is there something I need to enter?

Green light on the receiver flashes anytime it hears 319.5 mhz...As previously stated, put a resistor across the bell output....

I guess I am not explaining my situation correctly. I want the siren to operate, why would I put a resistor on it? The siren was functioning correctly until I removed it from the wall and disconnected the wires onthe back of it. This set of a trouble. I reset the trouble. Hooked the siren back up but now it will not operate. I assume I did not reset it correctly or failed to clear something .......any other ideas? I do not know what else to do.

Could you have possibly reversed the polarity? If it's a 12v siren, it won't work in reverse polarity. If it's a speaker, I think you need to double check your connections. There's really not much to speaker/siren connections other than a good electrical connection.

Wouldn't hurt to hit *7 on the keypad, that clears trouble conditions....
