We live in the mountains of Southern California, and have a deck over the "build up" area under the house. Our house is on a hill. We have storage under the deck, and needs it to be watertight.
The previous owners covered the plywood deck with rolled roofing, and it is now cracked and worn through in a few places and leaks.
I have seen some of the very nice solutions, such as DeckRite, but we are on a very tight budget.
I think we will have to remove the rolled roofing and put on some new rolled roof material. Not the best solution, but seems the cheapest way. This will be covered with snow which we shovel off with plastic shovels.
The old rolled roof material has nearly all the little embedded rocks worn away.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Rodney

Check with your neighbors in the area (Big Bear area?) to see what they have that is installed and still working well.
The removal is just hard work. The choice of materials for your exposure (sun, snow, temperature range, etc.) is the most important item to determine what will work.
