We are remodelling our basement bathroom by adding a fibreglass tub and shower unit where there is an existing standup shower unit.We have a wood floor but am adding another subfloor on top, will our floor need any additional support to accomodate the weight of the tub? Also one wall is drywall over the styrofoam cement block foundation do we have to stud this wall over the drywall or remove the drywall or can we attach the tub and surround directly to the styrofoam foundation?Our tub is also 12 inches smaller than our room so we will have to build a side wall to attach one end of the tub and surround to.Any advice on this project will be greatly appreciated.
