Just moved into a new house and attempted to replace the existing Honeywell thermostat on the Bryant (Payne PH10) heat pump with a Honeywell FocusPro TH6000 (TH6110D), but the furnace would not run after I did. All wires appears to correspond to same-color wiring between units except for a blue wire that had been connected to "X" on the old unit. I concluded it must go to "E" (emergency heat) on the new one, but maybe that is wrong, since even the fan won't turn on, let alone the heat. It's like the programmable isn't there at all, though it appears to be otherwise functional. (It does "click" when I turn things on, but that's apparently superficial.) Had to hook the old one back up. Any knowledgable suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure that you have a TH6110 and not a TH6220?

Post the make and model of your old stat and subbase for better assistance.

You are absolutely correct. My unit is a T6220D1028. The unit I am attempting to repalce is a Honeywell T841A1001. It has the blue wire connecting to "X." There also is an unstripped and unconnected coiled-up black wire in the wiring sheath that apparently does not have a function. I also may not have correctly set the installer options. The last time I swapped out a manual for programmable, it was fairly easy; this time, not so much. Thanks, Houston204. Let me know if this additional information leads to any conclusions.

Post the terminal = color combination of your old stat, including your unused terminals.

I'd say that your old stat had an E terminal and that your old X is now C (common).

You must also configure your new stat for your system.
If you have electric aux heat, these setting should work...
1 = 5
2 = 0 (if you were using the O terminal or 1 if you were using B)
3 = 1
6 = 9 (that's cycles per hour, dropping this to 3 to 5 might improve comfort)
8 = 9
9 = 3
12 = 1
13 = 1
14 = 0
15 = 5
16 = 1
27 = 85
28 = 60

The blue was indeed common. Seems to be working quite well! Can't thank you enough, Houston204!
