When this washer gets to the part when the basket spins after the water has been pumped out, it starts and stops continually until the circuit breaker trips.
I took the timer assy apart and noticed some of the contact points burned out. I replaced the timer assy but still have the problem.
please help.

Go to a service center with the model number for your washing machine.

Most of the controls interchange from year to year.

They should be able to tell you what the problem is.

My guess is that the motor is a induction motor and one of the parts inside of the motor is bad and you need a new motor.

These are the people where I buy my replacement parts.

It's about 4-7 yrs old. The model # is wwsr3090t6ww. The motor runs for 10 or 15 seconds, then stops and restarts by itself. After 5 or 10 of these restarts it trips the circuit breaker.
thanks

Not sure this is your problem but that model has a new motor and wiring harness because of spin problems. Can't remember it blowing breakers tho.
