My son works for a hvac company and he was able to get me EWC zone panel for my home. I've slowly aquired all the dampers and misc. parts to zone my 2 story home. I have been using a IAQ but now am going to need another thermostat for upstairs. Should I just use Honeywell 8320, or go another route? Another problem is the humidifier, the IAQ controls it and I'm concerned that only humidifiing first floor won't be enough. Also the zone panel will be set up for a heat pump using single stage thermostats. Zone panel will decide on sec. stage. My equipment is 3.5 ton Comfortmaker heat pump with 15KW strip backup. Just looking for some opinions. So far I have $600.00 in the zone retrofit. Thanks!

What is the model # on the zone board?

What is the model and make of your air handler?

I wouldn't worry about the humidity, your winters are mild, so I think you should be okay with it just on one zone, otherwise, leave the fan in "ON" mode to help move it around if needed, or set the control to force fan ON when calls for humidity.

Thanks Jay. The zone control is EWC BMPlus 3000. I just thought the IAQ was a little overkill. I may just put an 8320 upstairs to control second floor.

Ok, the TH8320 will work just fine with the zone board.
