i have a maytag side by side self defrost refrigerator.today i noticed water on the floor under the front of it.i think the drain tube for the self defroster is plugged because water only appears when it is defrosting and there is ice on the bottom of the freezer.my question is where is the drain tube?

Welcome to the forums! Not sure what model you have, but the drain tube is usually under the bottom crisper tray, but sometimes in the back, and can be in the freezer compartment as well. You can see it by looking under it after taking the back off it and clean all the dust off it (been there). With that said, what you may have is a bad door seal on the freezer, so check that out, too. while you are under the fridge, look in the overflow tray....is it dry? Then the tube is probably stopped up.
