I STARTED A NEW THREAD FOR THIS - PLEASE SEE OTHER POST
I am trying to delete my zone 10 since I added an addition to my house and it is no longer an outside door. I was getting a CHECK on zone 10.
I found this thread here: http://forum.doityourself.com/electronic-alarms-home-security-devices/394241-safewatch-pro-3000-delete-wireless-door-sensor.html
So I entered the following numbers:
6321 8 0 0
*58 * 10 * 00 * 2 * 00 * 99
I also tried
6321 8 0 0
*58 * 10 * 00 * 1 * 00 * 99
Neither worked. I noticed that after I entered the 6321 8 0 0 the display said "20".
Also after I was finished with the last 3 keys (*99) the display just said "90" and it stays that way.
I also tried restarting the system by unplugging both AC and batter power. After this I got "d1" and tried again but no success. Also after restarting it is in Chime mode and I cant remove it with [code] + 9
Any other ideas on deleting a zone please??
About my system:
My wireless sensors look just like this: http://adtcam.com/ademco-wireless-doorwindow-transmitter--5816.html
Keypad looks identical to this one in the link below except it says "Safewatch Pro 3000" instead of "Custom" in the lower right corner of the unit.

You have the wrong keypad to try to do menu mode zone programming. Your keypad is a 6150 fixed language keypad. You need a 6160 keypad to see the prompts.

Ok, even though you have the wrong keypad, that set of instructions was slightly off, remember this is a modified Vista 20p:
By now, the loop you were stuck in should have timed out.
Go to program
[installer code] 8 00
Go to expert mode zone programming
*58
0* (set to confirm?)
10* (zone number)
* (skip summary screen)
* (serial number accept)
0* delete loop number
* (accept summary screen)
00 (exit *58 mode)
*99 exit programming.
The problem is that you were poking around blind, and there is no telling what you may have changed.
When we say programming a Ademco design panel "blind" without the right keypad is both difficult and ill advised, we mean it.

Hi MrRonFL,
Is there any way to delete the zone with my keypad? I thought it was possible to do this with my keypad "blindly" without seeing the menus?

I tried those steps too, no luck. BTW I am cutting the power to reset the system before each attempt.
The funny thing is, after resetting the power I can arm the system even with the zone open. But then after a while (a few hours) it finally realizes zone 10 is open.
Guess I am out of options?

Those are the instructions. The ADT versons may have small changes, but these systems are designed to be programmed with the proper keypad.
Since it's wireless, you do have the option of simply taping the magnet to it, and sticking it in a drawer, just don't loose track of it.

Ok, thanks for the prompt response. If I buy a 6160 is it easy to swap out? Will the original program still be remembered?

All the programming is stored in the main panel. Swapping is ok. Just make sure the keypad you are removing is not a 6150RF keypad that has the wireless antenna built into it. Your wireless will stop working.

And don't try to change or add a keypad with the system powered on. Based on recent posts, these keypads _can_ be damaged by connecting and disconnecting them live.
