hello...i currently have a vista 15p with one 6150...i ordered another 6150, connected and set the address to 16....but for some reason, i cant get both 6150's to work together...its either one or the other....if i connect both, i get a d1 code on both and nothing works...i checked the address on the new one and its set to 16 but if i check the original one i get a en code...am i doing something wrong here...thanks in advance.

on my original key pad, when i push 1 and 3 a dE code blinks...i thought it would give me a 16 for the address. what is dE? also when i disconnent and reconnect the power/bat, i get a d1 code on the key pad. what is d1? thanks...

The second keypad needs to be set to address _17_ (you can't have two keypads with the same address). Use the working keypad to go into programming to activate address 17 by entering

[installer code] + 8 + 00
*190 10
*99

Your two threads are now merged. Generally, you need to put the brand and model when you ask questions, there are no "generic" answers.

D1 indicates that the system is "booting up".

enter the following phrase into your favorite search engine:

"Vista 15P installer manual"

The instrucions will help.

There is no programming feature to turn backlighting on and off on these keypads. This sounds like a power saver feature that they may have added to more recent models.
