Recently purchased home with Ademco Vista 20P/PS system. No manuals. Have found on message boards how to find installer code and reset master code. How can I tell if basement motion detectors are set for night stay? How would I program them if needed? I have looked at installation, programing and user manuals and am very confused. My keypad shows K4392V2 M6983 Rev. Must be older model because I have trouble finding info on it. House built in 2002. Pictures of keypad 6150 looks similar.
Would appreciate any and all help in answering this question.
Thanks-Peggy

Those part numbers are basically meaningless (they are really the part number for the plastic case, if I recall), the actual model number is generally on the PC board (printed on either the chip or the edge of the board.
It's probably an older version of the 6150 or possibly even a 6128. In any case, it's the fixed english model which cannot access the menu mode programming.
Testing for night-stay is easy. Arm the system in night/stay mode ([code] + 33). Wait for the exit delay to time out (you _do_ know it still runs, even in stay mode?). Walk in front of the motion. If you go into alarm, it's a night/stay zone, if not, it's a standard interior zone.
Basically, to make a zone night/stay you have to include it in a night/stay zone list, which you cannot do with a fixed language keypad.
