I just need a little wiring help. Two years ago I installed a Honeywell HE220A to a Lennox G40UH using the installation that came with the unit with the sail switch and all. Now I purchased a new thermostat with humidity control and want to use that and get rid of the humidisat that came with the Honeywell unit to clean up the wall a little bit. I fiugure I can get rid of the sail switch and plug in transformer and use the 24v from the furnace for the power and the thermostat to control the humdifier. The new thermostat has a "H" terminal. My question how would the new wiring need to be done? My current thermostat has wire connected to Rh (with a jumper to) Rc, W, Y, G.
Thanks

I don't know what brand and model is the new thermostat is. My guts says No. But let know what model the t-stat is, and I can look it up.

Totaline P286-1400. Is there anyway to wire it so I dont need the humidistat that came with the Honeywell and use the thermostat. If I need to use the sail swith I will. It's already there.

Ok, You will just use only the T-stat for the control.

So wire up a wire on to H on the t-sat, then that wire will go to one of the wire off the humidifier. The other wire from the humidifier will go to C on the board.
