I wish to build my son a rock climbing wall. 3/4" plywood attached to the frame will form the base, with holds bolted to that. I would like to finish the plywood off with something that resembles stone or rock. (colored / stained mortar??) Any ideas how to go about this....use of stencils etc.. Any advice will be appreciated

Thanks
Jan

Have you figured out how to make the holds, yet? Can you buy them already made? You could, after installing the holds, cover the wall with lath and cover it with Mortar/sand mix made like stucco and applied with a flat trowel. It may prove to be a little more sturdy than commercial stucco mix.

Thanks for the input!. I was thinking along those lines, and yes, there are many suppliers of the holds.

Thanks again!
