Hello: I have four steps coming up from the sidewalk to the path to my house, the top (4th) step as a slice taken out of it on the top right hand corner of it!
First I liked to know if I could use Hydraulic cement to repair it and second, could I just smear it on and try to shape it or it there something I could use just in that corner to hold the cement while it dry's, which does not take long for hydraulic. please, if someone can give me some insight as to the best way to handle it, Thanks
PS: the broken off part is about 6 inch's long and no more than
an inch or inch and a half deep and it right at the right corner.

I know it is off site, but Quikrete has an excellent tutorial on repairing steps.
