I've had a bathtub leaking for some time and there is some water damage under the flooring. Judging by the smell, there's some mildewing of the sub floor. I'm just able to afford having the tub replaced, but can't afford tearing up and redoing the floor tile. What can I do to help out with the mold? Would it do anything to pour bleach under there while the old tub is out?

dont know what kind of coverage your home owners would give you minus any dedcuitables. But ....if you are smelling any odors..that means something is still damp or wet. pouring bleach over the subfloor without drying out the effected materials or replacing them...isnt going to solve anything...keep in mind those areas between the floor have little to no air movement..without air movement it isnt going to dry

this is what lets mold grow....contact your insurance company...you wouldnt believe how much of a headache water damage can be if left alone
