hey guys im brand knew to this forum and need some help, I left the key on when I last used my craftsman 16hp kohler comand moled 917.272069 I jumped it started it fine.mowed a couple stips and didnt set the brake when I got off the seat,engine stopped,talking to my wife on phone when i jumped it again not paying attention I crossed pos and neg cables that blew the 20 amp plug in fuse under gas tank.I replaced fuse,fuse blew ,again[this time cables were on right.replaced fuse again and blew it out,tryed to jump right at starter engine cranked but no start,pulled plug and no spark,any idear what else I blew,something simple turn out to be a pain just from not paying attention any help would be great thank you.

Having the cables crossed could burn up the ignition coil and the alternator, possibly also the regulator if equipped. Depends on the situation. You might get lucky and only have a bad coil. Unplug the kill wire from the coil and check for spark again. If still no spark, the coil is bad.
