Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help. I have an Potterton boiler and the timer makes a constant annoying clicking sound.

A couple of years ago I had someone come to fix the boiler who also said he could disconnect the timer if I liked, I said no (big regret).

It's really irratating me as it's pretty loud at night and rather then call an engineer just to disconnect the timer I was wondering if someone can give me some guidance as how to do it myself.

There are 3 wires connected to the timer blue, brown and white.

Thanks for any help.

Dave.

Dave, I don't know if anyone here will be able to help you... maybe someone knows, but most of us have probably never even heard of Potterton... you see, we're all on the other side of the pond.

What does the 'timer' in your boiler actually do? I don't know of any over here that have timers in them...
