Hi,
I am new to this site and I have very little experience with carpentry. I have a 55 gallon reef aquarium that is on a homemade black wooden stand. I would like to build a front cover for the stand with cabinet style doors and a viewing window. I have a design built in Sketchup but I don't see an option to attached files here. Is there a way for me to upload a pic?
Anyways, I guess my first question is what kind of wood should I get? Where is the best place to get it? Should I buy it pre-cut to size? Around how much will it cost me?
Any suggestions or comments are more than welcome.
Thanks!

I put mine on top of a base kitchen or bathroom cabinet. You can buy them pre-finished from places like Lowes or Home Depot. The doors are already finished and attached. Some models have backs while some don't but you can cut large access holes in the back for ventilation and to allow easy plumbing runs.
