Working on a well that is spraying water back into the casing due to a hardened o-ring type gasket. It is maybe 25 to 30 years old (the pitless adapter). I am having no luck in finding out who made it or finding the new ring for it. It appears to be a nickel plated piece. It hangs on the casing and lifts up and off. It does not slide into a slot like a merril type does. It just sort of hooks and hangs. Is their anywhere that I can look to get this monster identified so I do not have to dig up and replace it????? Thanks for your replies in advance.

The easiest way to find one like you have is use google image search.

When I run across a part that I do not recognise, I use google, and find a picture that looks like the one I have.

So far it has worked very well for me. When I find the part, there is usually some information to go along with the picture.

Can you take a picture pf the unit and post it here. When you say it hangs on the casing do you mean it has a T on top of it that actually hangs on the top lip of the casing? There is a thread started in this section within the last week with pictures of a Wells Brand pitless and details on how to remove it. Check that thread and see if it looks the same as yours.
