Still struggling with this toilet and trying to avoid stimulating the economy of a local plumber to the tune of $250. For new readers, the tile is very tight to the bottom of an unevenly mounted PVC flange where one side is broken. Attempts to use the metal repair kit on top of the existing flange have proven to be futile.

Anyone ever used a J-tech flange replacement kit with good success?

A church member convinced me that I could break away the old one but I just don't like the idea of breaking up my concrete because I broke the sewer pipe or something.

I could use my dremmel to cut away the part of the existing flange above the tile and then just install the J-tech.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
