I installed a wireless network using a Belkin wireless router to use my laptop and a computer with wireless connection that is in my garage. The laptop works great but the computer in the garage get a weak signal , if I close the overhead door I loose the signal all together. The overhead door is metal. The garage has wood siding on it. Is there any thing I could do to boost the signal in the garage.

What is the distance between the router and the computer? What model # router?

Where, in relation to the garage, is your router? If in the basement or other end of the house, consider moving it closer to the garage wall. What distance is it between the router and garage computer?
