I just purchased a home that was built in 2005. It has a Honeywell universal mini zone unit, because of severe vandalism both thermostats are damaged beyond recognition. Will a Honeywell Focus pro 6000 programable multistage therostat work? it has 2 as far as i can tell 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

The 6000 series will work. How many stages of heat and cool do you have? The 6220 will support 2 heat 2 cool. the 6110 will support 1 heat 1 cool and cost less.

Color codes vary. Remove power to your furnace & zone control and write down your terminal = wire color combination before removing any wires.
