I need help with my Mansfield toilet.

After I flush, the float valve stays open, which makes the tank empty into the bowl. I have to lift back up on the lever in order for the float valve to go back down. Any ideas?

Something is sticking..on a Mansfield flush mechanism..its likely the handle.

Take the handle off and lift the flush valve by hand....if its drops back normally..then you probably need a new handle. You could try spraying a little silicone around the shaft of the handle just to see if it makes a diff. Check for burrs or problems where the lever contacts the valve also.

Thank you. I will see if that works.
