Hello all,
I just started my B.S. 6.5 horse OHV lawn mower. I started very slow and spewed some black smoke. After 10 seconds or so it started to go at a very high rpm. I turned off the engine and it backfired. Now it will not start.
Thanky you for your advice.
Sincerely,
ForeverFixing

Sounds like this engine hasn't been used in a long time and now the carb is gummed up and needs to be removed, disassembled, and cleaned.
