Have a kenmore gas oven that when I turn it on it will light and then start warming up and once it gets so warm it shuts off. We had sears come out and look at it and the reoair man said there was something in the clock, that when it got to a certain temperature it shut the oven off for safety, and it would cost 400-450 to install a new clock. And he was really pushing for us to buy a new oven. Does this sound right? Or is there somethign else that would be casuing this like a bad ignitor or something?
