Hi,
What is the circled item called in the picture?
It has a condensation drip on it. I'm trying to get a hold of a plumber to replace this.
Thanks for any help.

That is a water pressure regulator. It controls the pressure of the city water feed into your hydronic system.

Ask him if he will install a valve between it and the heating system, there should already be a valve on the other side between the it and the water supply.
He's going to have to drain the heating system (if that's the heating pipe to the left) to replace it, and that's a PITA... if there's a valve there, the nothing needs to be drained to replace it. If you don't have a 'backflow preventer' now is the time to install one of those as well.

The pipe on the right is coming from the hot water tank, the pipe on the left is the hot water heating system. I think the hot water flows from right to left.
