I just had a new Trane Heat pump and airhandler installed with a Honeywell Prestige thermostat THX9000 with wireless remote and external sensor. The thermostat also controls my Energy Kinetics System 2000 oil burner as an auxiliary heat source. Within the installer's setup there is a setup function (#650) which allows me to extend the "fan on time" after the heat pump shuts off. My question is whether the same function (650) should do the same for my oil burner when the thermostat is switched to Emergency Heat. When operating the Emergency Heat, the 650 function does not seem to cause the fan to keep running to purge the heat after the call for heat from the oil burner is satisfied. Instead the fan just stops immediately as soon as the desired room temperature is reached. Is that the way it must be or could the wiring be wrong? I would have though the 650 function would extend the fan run time for the Emergency heat as well as it does for the heap pump.

For your back up oil heat, is it a furnace by itself, or a boiler and hot water pipe ran to the air handler?

The boiler has a hydronic coil inside the airhandler they installed.

Do you know if your air handler has electric back up heat, or is just the hot water coil? What is the model # on the air handler?

Can you please given me all the Installer set up what you have set up on it now?

The only one I can think of now, is #180, I don't know what the screen shows you since the manual I am looking don't show the options. I am going to say "Thermostat" controls the fan needs to be set.
