can i do my own termite inspection and how? they charge $200-400 for one to two hours apparently and you should do every 5 years. Wondereing whether there is a detector machine or what i can do for a doityourself

No detector machines that I know of. You could get a few books from the library or do some research on the net and you would have some idea of what to look for. Experience is what the pros have that you don't.
