Looking to refinance.
Currently have a 30 year fixed with Chase at 6.625, Chase is offering 30 yr fixed at 5.15, 15 year fixed at 5.35. Will stay with fixed rate.

Looking to shop for a better rate, but not familiar with all the available funders. Ditech and other web based firms seem to require an online application just to get them to provide a rate, and I don't want numerous credit inquiries to appear on my credit record (I guess this may be unavoidable).

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks.

sometimes it can be difficult for a lender to give you an accurate quote without seeing your whole profile (requires a credit pull). The better your credit, the easier it is to give a quote. Have one lender pull and then do your shopping by giving other lenders your score. You should be able to get close. Once narrowed down, allow the 2 best lenders to pull credit and give you precise figures at that time to compare
