Did you use a nail gun? Some pics might help.

sargo7,

Welcome to the forums.

First question is what brand of railing? There are several different ways that they are assembled, which means the fix could be one of several things.

Pictures would be helpful. Either post a few directly or put them on a free site like Photo Bucket and post the URL.

Lefty,

I used Lowe's Severe Weather Composite Flat Railing. The balusters just slide into the top and bottom railings. 'http://www.severeweatherrail.com/flat.htm'

The instructions did not mention anything about securing the balusters.

I would think a bit of clear silicone caulk injected into the gaps on one side would help..and still leave plenty of expansion and contraction room, which is an issue with composites. Just a thought.....

That's what I was thinking of trying but wasn't sure.

Clear silicone will work just fine.
