Trying to replace my current York T-stat (not sure of model #) with the Digital Programmable Honeywell RTH7600D for Heat Pumps.
Old Wiring on York:
W-white
B-blue
G-green
R-red
X-black
O-orange
Y-yellow
Hooked up the Honeywell as follows:
R-RC with jumper to R
O-O/B
Y-Y
G-G
B-C
X-E
W-Aux

When AC is turned on - compressor outside works great.
When Heat is turned on - compressor does not turn on. Waited over 10min.

Did you go into the installer set up and configure the stat for a heat pump?

As Dun pointed out, sounds like you don't have the t-stat set up correct in the set up menu.
Go to page 13, and follow how to get in to the Menu.
These are the settings I suggest.
170-7
180- I don't know what you got, set up to what you have for back up heat.
190-0
240-3
270-3
Rest you can figure out, ask if you have any questions.
