OK I have a GE washing machine here that squeels. What is the problem with this,can it be the belt?

BTW it's just over 22 years old and have never had any problems with it,besides dancing across the floor.

most likely needs a belt. Can't remember it there is a idler pulley on that one.

Model number is WWA8314VKLAD
General Electric Heavy Duty Extra Large Capacity 2 Speed Washer

While searching for the model number I came across grease on my floor and also on the interior of the washer(where all the guts are).

I'm not sure on whether all this grease is neccesary.

I agree GE not worth fixing with oil leak, Buy a Whrilpool made washer
