Hi,

I have a Campbell Hausfeld compressor extrem duty, 60 gallons, 7.5HP. When the compressor stopped, there are leak by the high pressure valve. The pressure in the tank is not over normal pressure. After 1 or 2 minutes the pressure in the tank is lower and the leak by high pressure valve stopped but they are always a leak by the oil filling plug of the pump. Someone have idea what is the problem? Is it possible the problem come from the check valve (valve between pump and tank) ?

Welcome to the forums!

Is it the pop off valve that is leaking?

thank you for your answer, but could you give me more information about this valve? Where is this valve?

Between the pump and the motor is a manifold that should have a gauge and regulator attached to it. The pop off valve is also there. It has a pull ring on it. It's main purpose is to release excess air pressure and prevent damage or injury from too much pressure. While I've never had any issues with my shop compressor [6.5hp,60gal] my little compressor has had the pop off valve to act up when it's very cold.

Could you supply a pic showing where it's leaking? Most use a free site like photbucket.com (http://www.photbucket.com) to post pics. I'm fixing to go off line but will be back later. Also there are a bunch of knowledgeable guys here that probably can help you better than I can..... so stay tuned :D

I don't have picture presently but I can take one and post the picture. The leaking is on a release valve on the pressure switch. It seems it is what you describe has the pop valve. But I don't understand why It is leaking by the pump oil plug ( place to add oil in the pump)

Oil is leaking from the drain plug? I wouldn't think there would be any air pressure at that point. Pics can really be helpfull :D gets us all on the same page. Just be sure to point out the areas with the problems.
