Hi,
I plan to spray paint kitchen cabinets that are currently stained wood (pickle).
I will sand, prime and spray with oil paint. Will this paint last?
Will it crack with the heat of the kitchen?
Would acrylic paint be better?

The paint may yellow. White is not a good choice.

Welcome to the forums Tony!

Yes, white oil base enamel will yellow over time, that's one of the reasons I'm fond of the waterborne enamels. They dry almost as hard as oil base [will wear good] and don't yellow as it ages. You do want to use a solvent based primer. Both latex and waterborne enamels will adhere to the primer. It's difficult to get a good bond to the cabinet finish with a latex primer.
