would like to make my own wire up for my pc. the wire is 4 pr or 8 single you have 8 spots on the plug .
my? one end of the plug blue ,blue white on 1 and 2 orange ,orange white on 3 &4 and so on now the other end of the plug
blue &blue white would be on 8&7 orange & orange white would be on 6& 5 and so on

How to wire it depends upon the application? Are you making a "straight" or "crossover" cable?

I make mine all the time. You need a cat 5 crimper and good eyes. It does take some practice. There is a A and B wiring method. I think I use B method but whatever you do use the same method on both ends of the cable.
