My precast concrete steps are to small for my house. They are 14 inches below the front stoop. They have also droped off there mountings. I had someone come up to take a look at them and he said your steps are too small. They need to be one more steps taller but if you do that your steps will be 10 inches in to the sidewalk. What do I do???:coffee:

It sounds like your steps don't meet building code. The code specifies maximum step height, minimum step width, hand railings, etc. If your steps don't meet code, you will probably have to address this before you can sell your house and you may be exposed to injury law suites in the mean time.
I recommend you either consult your local building codes or follow the recommendations of a licensed contractor.
I added a door in my house and added steps that extended out over a sidewalk. I addressed this issue by widening the side walk in front of the steps.
Good luck,
Don
