It is a center of the screen pop-up, and says boldly along the top. "SECURITY WARNING", and then in the body it says, "Current site: "ad.doubleclick.net". And right below that it says, "Internet site: M1.2mdn.net"

Keeps coming up every number of seconds and getting very frustrating. I say "no" or X it off, and it will pop right back up again.

How do you get rid of it?!!!!

Are any of you getting that, or is it just in this computer? If in this computer, why not near as much on other sites(but not positive on this, and may have to intentionally do more off-DIY navigating)?. And it occurs mainly when back keying to change the board. For example, while typing this, it is not coming up. But it will again, after I submit and re-navigate.

The computer has AVG, Windows Defender, Advance Security.

I don't have see any warnings on the site.

Do you have a pop-up blocker running?

I don't have see any warnings on the site.

Do you have a pop-up blocker running?

We researched this and it turns out pop-up blocker was indeed on, but it was at the medium setting. We just put it to high. I will let you know if that helped or not.

Sorry I was led astray by the computer master here, telling me pop-up block was on, which is was....but not at max. strength.

Nope. That did not help. I had 6 of the same thing occur in seconds. Really, really, really maddening. You can't navigate until you click it off, and it stays off. But then it pops right back up again, sometimes.

Sounds like you've picked up some sort of virus. It's not the site.

Virus scans are going on 24 hours a day on auto scan, yo might say, plus a lot of time is spent at times doing manual scans with countdowns, that can take quite a while.

So what is the answer? How do I get rid of that nuisance of a nuisance? It is extremely maddening.

But at least I now know that it is not the DIY, that is the infected source.

Might want to try malwarebytes or AdAware...I don't think you really have a virus...I think its just an ad thing. Thats what doubleclick normally is...kind of a tracking/popup thing.

Malwarebytes is pretty good stuff...Gets things that others don't.

Ec, are you still running IE8? If you were running Firefox, you could download AdblockPlus and do away with all that crud.

Here's some deep reading on the subject:

OR, you could log on early in the morning and learn how to convert your Ipod files to some other thingy on your computer.:madhell:

We will be checking out those things suggested. I am going out of my mind with that one pop-up.

Tow, I'll read that when I get the time. Thanks.
..........................................................................

Those 2 suggested things have now been run through the computer, and we will see if it did any good, when I get back to the other puter, in a short.

We ran both of thsoe suggested sites to clear out any problems. The screen said up to "100 problems found"..."16 problems found", on another,...etc.. Then after time went on, while letting these 2 sites do their work, and clear out the problems..... everything finally came up "no problem". Thought the problem would be solved, once and for all.

No such luck! :madhell:. Still get only that one nuisance pop up from ad.doubleckick.net, dead center in the middle of the screen, that stops my ability to type - that says across it's top, "SECURITY WARNING". Grrrrr.

There is a phone number to call when I visit ad.doubleclick.net. Maybe Monday I need to call that number and see what they can tell me.

Do this just one time....turn pop-up blocker OFF and see what happens. Of course don't click on any popups that occur.

Might also try Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyware Blaster. They only check your system, they don't run all the time like ABP or AVG.
