I have a 2100 square foot bungalow that experieces minus 15 degree temps in the winter. I have a BryantModel 340AAV High Efficiency furnace that runs with a vanEE Model 190H Heat Recovery Ventilator. My problem is that I have a lot of oversize windows in my house and my furnace comes on quite often in the winter. This cold dry air drives the himidity way down in the house. To solve this problem, I would like to install the Honeywell TrueSTEAM HM509 (9 gallon) humidifier to the hot side of my furnace. My question is, which Honeywell control system should I use to control the humidity in my house ? Should it be the "VisionPRO IAQ", "TrueIAQ", or the "Manual" cotrol.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks !

How is this controled, and where is it at? Is this running at all times?

I would suggest the IAQ, but depends on what you come back with the HRV system on my last questions.

Hi Jay11J ! Thanks for responding. The control on my HRV is a dial controlled controller. You can adjust the humidity by adjusting the dial. The HRV has a toggle switch on it and there are three positions on it. High, remote(middle position) and low. This toggle switch is set on remote so it gets its signal from the dial controlled controller.
If the humidity goes above the setpoint of the dial controller, my HRV comes on and brings dry fresh air in until the himidity goes below the setpoint of the dial controlled controller. Here are a few pictures of my application.

The dial controlled controller is on the left.

With that set up, I'd use the Honeywell IAQ t-stat.. With the IAQ, that can take over for the HRV control, and also it can bring fresh air to meet the fresh air guide line for your home.

And if you upgrade the furnace to a two stage, Heat Pump, or two stage A/C, you are ready to go!
